USCIS employment-based I-485 inventory since February 2024

USCIS counts pending employment-based green card applications (Form I-485) by category, country and priority date month, publishes the count about once a month, and removes older editions from its site. We keep every edition we have downloaded.

The archive has 29 reports, from February 22, 2024 to August 5, 2026. We don't have reports for June 2025 and July 2025. The CSV file has 218,559 rows, one for each number in a report.

Columns

snapshot_date
The “as of” date printed on the report, as YYYY-MM-DD. Example: 2026-08-05
country
Rest of the World, China, India, Mexico or Philippines. Example: India
category
EB1, EB2, EB3, EW3 (EB-3 Other Workers), EB4, CRW (certain religious workers), EB5_UNRESERVED, EB5_RURAL, EB5_HIGH_UNEMP, EB5_INFRA, or EB5_SET_ASIDE for the combined set-aside line in the May to July 2024 reports. Example: EB2
visa_status
Available or Awaiting Availability, as USCIS labels the two groups. USCIS says it uses the Visa Bulletin dates for the month it ran the query. Example: Awaiting Availability
pd_year
Priority date year, or prior for the column USCIS labels “Prior Years”, which combines everything older than the report's 10-year range. Example: 2013
pd_month
Priority date month, 1 to 12, for every row including prior. Example: 11
count
Pending applications: 0 where USCIS printed a dash (zero or rounds to zero), empty where USCIS printed D. Example: 1144
suppressed
true where USCIS printed D (“disclosure standards not met”) instead of a number, otherwise false. Example: false

Cells that USCIS left blank are not in the file. When USCIS replaced a report with corrected numbers, the CSV uses the replacement, and both spreadsheets are listed below.

Each spreadsheet is the file USCIS published, byte for byte. SHA-256 checksums are in SHA256SUMS.txt; check them with shasum -a 256 -c SHA256SUMS.txt.
